Giving People are Happy People

We all know people that are giving. We all know those that are stingy as well. Do you notice the difference between the two?

Giving people rock! They are up-beat, happy and excited about life and helping others. On the flip side, those that are stingy don’t seem that happy, do they? They don’t have a heart to help others and they just turn a blind eye to people in need. They are much more interested in their own life and are not concerned with the welfare of others. They seem a bit hard-hearted, don’t they?

Generous people give more than just money. They give their time. They serve in their churches – food kitchens feeding the poor – visit the sick in hospitals – mentor others that want to learn – and share liberally in many different ways. They don’t give expecting something in return; just experiencing the joy in helping someone in need is payment in full. They make a difference in the lives of others. They live to give and as a result have much fulfilment and happiness in their lives.

Happiness is definitely tied to being giving. If happiness is something you desire, look outside yourself and put a smile on someone else’s face or help another in need – it may be just the answer you’re looking for.
